WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Website maintenance
in Dubai & the UAE.

Keep a working website cared for after launch. Agree the routine checks, updates and support tasks that suit its platform and business importance.

WHAT THIS SERVICE IS

A plain explanation of the work.

Website maintenance is the agreed, repeating work that keeps a live site from drifting into failure: updates with a check, routine content edits you do not want to batch into projects, backup awareness, and a way to report a fault. It is not unlimited design on demand, and it is not a promise that the site will never break.

The arrangement depends on the platform. WordPress with five premium plugins is a different monthly shape from a static site with two forms. Hosting may be yours or ours; the proposal says who applies patches where.

Malware cleanup, a full redesign, or a host migration are not maintenance. Those have their own pages so they are not smuggled into a small monthly fee.

A CLEAR PICTURE

A labelled diagram, not a decoration.

Care on a calendar, not on a hope
  1. Onboard the site

Access, platform, plugins, and the journeys that must keep working.

  2. Run the calendar

Updates and checks on the agreed rhythm.

  3. Use the edit allowance

Small content changes without a new project each time.

  4. Report and renew

What was done, what is deferred, and whether the next period should change.

WHO IT IS FOR

The situations this page is written for.

Owners who launched a site and then had nobody to touch it, teams whose developer left, and businesses that need a named allowance of edits for hours, menu items and staff bios.

  • WordPress sites that must take core and plugin updates.
  • Static sites that still need occasional page changes.
  • Stores that need a watch on checkout after provider updates.
  • Managers who want a ticket path instead of a personal WhatsApp to a former freelancer.

TYPICAL SCOPE

What a proposal usually names.

01

Update planning

Apply agreed updates on a staging copy when one exists, then to production after a look at the main journeys. Emergency patches are handled as the proposal describes. We will not update a plugin that the host’s PHP version cannot run without telling you.

02

Content support

The edit types in the allowance: text, images, a new simple page copied from a template. New templates, new languages and new integrations consume the allowance only if the proposal says they may; usually they are quoted.

03

Backup and recovery checks

Confirm that backups exist and that a sample restore is possible at the interval you bought. Restoring a whole site after disaster is the recovery service if it exceeds the check.

04

Issue handling

Faults in the covered site during the named hours. Third-party outages (payment, maps, a CDN) are diagnosed as such. We cannot make another company’s API work by wishing.

INCLUDED AND QUOTED SEPARATELY

Labour versus things that sit on their own line.

Included in a typical proposal

  • The update and edit labour described in the proposal.
  • Backup checks at the interval you bought.
  • Fault investigation for the covered site during named hours.

Quoted separately

  • Redesigns, new templates and new languages.
  • Malware incidents beyond a first look.
  • Hosting invoices unless we host the site under contract.
  • Work on domains, mail or other properties not named.

AFTER HANDOVER

What you should hold when the work is done.

You can end maintenance and keep the site. Access we used is documented so it can be revoked. A final note of plugin versions and backup status is reasonable to ask for at the end of a term.

If you pause updates, say so. A site that skipped a year of patches may need a project before it can re-enter a cheap maintenance rhythm.

PRACTICAL NOTES

Details that usually affect the proposal.

Access is the first onboarding task: hosting, CMS, DNS, and any CDN. If a previous freelancer still holds the only registrar login, maintenance cannot patch what we cannot reach. Recovering that access is sometimes a morning’s work and sometimes a registry procedure. We will not start a cheap monthly plan on a site we cannot log into.

Stores and membership plugins make maintenance heavier because a failed update can break checkout. The proposal should say if the site takes payments. A brochure WordPress and a WooCommerce shop are not the same monthly shape, even if both say WordPress on the tin.

PLANNING THE WORK

Questions worth asking.

Is this the same as hosting?

No. Hosting is where the files live. Maintenance is the labour to look after them. They can be bought together or separately.

Can we send unlimited design requests?

No. Design and new features are quoted. The allowance is for the edit types written down.

What hours are covered?

The hours in the proposal. There is no implied overnight watch on this page.
